Parmesan Orzo Pasta
Recipe type: Side Dish
Serves: makes 4 cups
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1½ cups orzo pasta
  • 1½ cups chicken broth
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ¼ tsp cayenne red pepper
  • ¼ tsp garlic salt
  • ⅓ cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp milk
  1. Melt butter in medium sauce pan on medium-high heat
  2. Stir in orzo until coated with butter. Stir occasionally for about 5 minutes or until orzo browns slightly.
  3. Stir in chicken broth and bring to a rolling boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 10 minutes.
  4. Add basil, cayenne red pepper, garlic salt, parmesan and milk. Serve.
