Today I am very excited to talk about these new makeup remover wipes from Pacifica. Coco Pure Makeup Removing Wipes ($6.99, Target exclusive) are made with coconut water and they are biodegradable. Pacifica, a brand I had previously learned about through Ipsy, offered to send me the wipes to try out. They are part of The Power of Love collection made exclusively for Target stores nationwide as part of the Made to Matter program.
Pacifica believes in compassion for women, animals and the planet, and that’s what The Power of Love collection all about. The collection is 100% vegan, cruelty-free and never tested on animals. Not only are the products made with sustainable ingredients, but the packaging is recyclable as well. Made to Matter: Handpicked by Target is a product collection of leading natural, organic and sustainable brands, and Pacifica is just one of many brands involved.
I’m pleased to report that these natural makeup wipes are very effective. I gravitate towards natural products, but often I find they aren’t as effective as other items on the market. It’s incredibly justifying to find a product that is gentle AND does the job.
Coco Pure Makeup Removing Wipes which are infused with coconut milk do smell very much of coconut. It reminds me of the beach. The cloths are soft on the skin and are large enough to remove quite a bit of makeup, but not so large I feel it’s a waste. Each pack comes with 30 towelettes, the perfect amount, and they’re incredibly affordable at only $6.99.
Right after Water on the ingredient list is Aloe Vera Leaf Extract and Coconut Milk, so you know those three ingredients likely make up most of the formula. There’s also some Jojoba Oil, a gentle, non-comedogenic oil. The wipes have just the right level of moisture and leave my skin feeling soft to the touch.
I like to use wipes before the gym or on nights when I realize I’ve hopped in bed without washing my face properly. Foundation, eye shadow, lipstick and eyeliner are no match for these. Mascara does take some coaxing. I recommend starting with your lashes, gentle rubbing the lashes between the cloth using pinched fingers. Avoid getting mascara residue on your under eye area, because I’ve found that if I rub too much, I feel a slight burning/stinging sensation. My skin is never visibly irritated by the wipes and in fact looks less pink than usual after removal.
