Scentbird is a perfume subscription service for $14.95 a month. I’ve tried so many beauty subscription services, but Scentbird is the first fragrance box I’ve tested. The idea is brilliant. They get give a months worth of perfume, and you can have a different scent every month.
The first month you subscribe you will receive a travel-size perfume bottle (show above) with your scent insert inside. Every monthly after that you will just receive the fragrance insert which you can easily swap in.
When you sign up you go through a scent personality-type quiz to gauge what type of fragrance you will enjoy most. They give you a list of recommended fragrances to try, but you can search for any scent you’d like- you don’t have to follow the recommendations. When you find some scents you want to try, you can build up your queue. Each month, a perfume from your queue will be sent to your door.
The spray you receive each month is more than a months worth for me- 0.27 fl. oz./8 ml. When I removed the spray from the “luxury case,” as they call it on their website, it had leaked slightly. My thought is that it may be due to overfilling, because there hasn’t been any perfume loss. The travel case is very handy, you just twist up to pop up the sprayer and twist down when you’re done. The perfume sprays with a fine mist.
The website is extremely user-friendly. They give you all of the fragrance notes for each perfume, which makes it incredibly easy to select the perfume without ever having smelled it in person.
My only hesitation with Scentbird is the company has no affiliation or connection with the fragrances they offer. They decant the perfumes themselves, so you have to just trust that the perfumes are authentic. They claim to be 100% authentic, and I’m inclined to believe them.
