Aveda’s commitment to create great products with botanically-based formulas and naturally derived ingredients speaks to me. It has been a longtime favorite hair care brand of mine, but I’m relatively new to their cosmetics, so when they asked if I’d be interested in trying a few things from their limited edition Romantic Grandeur collection, I couldn’t wait.
Aveda Nourish-Mint Lip Liner in 934 Fire Maple and Nourish-Mint Smoothing Lip Color in 930 Goji Berry are a match made in red lip heaven. Fire Maple is a slightly cool red while Goji Berry is a true red. The pencil applies smoothly without any drag, and paired with the lipstick the color is so vibrant.
Aveda Nourish-Mint Rehydrating Lip Glaze in 932 Mangosteen is a gorgeous, romantic, deep red-violet. It feels so hydrating on the skin, and the signature mint scent is lovely.
Aveda Mosscara is their permanent, core line mascara. The shade Earth is a medium warm brown.
How gorgeous is this trio? Petal Essence Single Eye Color in 952 Allspice is a reddish brown, 950 Ivory Lotus is a champagne, warm ivory, and 951 Golden Cypress is a true gold. All three shades are quite sheer but can be built up for a medium sheen.
I recreated the Red Lotus look from the Romantic Grandeur look book. It’s a dramatic take on these three shadows, but it so perfect for Fall and Winter. For a wearable daytime look, I would apply Golden Cypress to the lid, Allspice through the crease, and Ivory Lotus to the brow bone.
My top pick from the collection is 100% hands down the three lip products. Red lips are very on trend, and the addition of the berry gloss adds a great twist.
