The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is finally mine! Sephora just had a 15% off sale, which I always like to take advantage of to either stock up on staples or splurge on new goodies. This time around, I did the latter.
Strange, Burnout and Trick are my favorites on this half of the palette. Dust and Buzz are way too crumbly, though Buzz is better than Dust.
I love everything on this side of the palette. Nooner, even though it’s matte, is fairly easy to blend. Liar is gorgeous, and I don’t have anything like it. It’s a subtly rose-hued taupe. Mugshot is velvety, and Blackheart is unique with its red shimmer.
Unlike the Naked and Naked 2 palettes, every shade in the Naked 3 is totally new. The Naked palette is warm-toned, the Naked 2 is cool-toned, and the Naked 3 is a mix of warm and cool rose-hued shades.
The brush that’s included is an improvement from the Naked 2 palette. The eye base side is fairly similar- the new brush one is a little more of a rounded square while the old one was more oval at the tip. Instead of a traditional blender/crease brush shape on the other end, the crease brush looks more like a fluffy eye base.
I was disappointed to see that they chose the same case as the Naked 2. The original Naked got way more beat up on the outside, the 2 and 3 are certainly more sturdy in that way, but the oversized mirror is so heavy, it knocks the palette backward when I have it open. Also, the plastic tabs on my Naked 2 snapped off, so I can’t close it all the way. Here’s to hoping that doesn’t happen again! Otherwise, I’m a huge fan of how the palette looks- I think the design is very classy.
I also decided to pick up the Urban Decay Triple Threat Travel Pencil Set: Smoky Matte Edition ($19). I was going to pick up one full size pencil ($20), but this was beyond perfect. I think $19 for three travel sized pencils is a great deal. Get it while you can- it’s limited edition!
