Nail Polish Acrylic Table Display

Nail Polish Acrylic Shelves

For quite some time my nail polish has been gathering dust in a large shoe box in the corner of my room. I used to keep them in plastic, rectangular drawer organizers but ran out of drawer space. While the drawer organizers were tidy and allowed for a certain amount of organization, I really wanted to display my polished so I could see my color selection at a glance.

I looked into purchasing acrylic nail polish wall racks, but I am currently living in a rental home, so I try to put as few holes in the wall as possible. I added it to my one-day-maybe-eventually list, and didn’t think about it again until I stumbled across this Nail Polish Table Rack Display on Amazon. A table top display?  Duh, Kelsey, why did you not think of that before?

This Nail Polish Table Rack Display is a five-tier acrylic shelf unit designed to sit on a table and hold 60 polishes (China Glaze, OPI and Essie sized bottles according to the description). This claim is a little off- I filled a row with only China Glaze and maxed out at 11, which would be 55 total. For me, this is no big deal because most of my polishes are the skinny Julep bottles. With my assortment of China Glaze, Julep, Sally Hansen, Essie, Barry M and Duri polishes, it holds a total of 66 polish and has a little extra room where I decided to store my Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens and Kiss Nail Dress.

Nail Polish Organizer

If you do choose to order this item, make sure that the item you receive is the item you ordered. Several reviewers have noted that what I receive was the wrong dimensions (1.5″ shelf depth instead of 2″) or had the wrong number of shelves (6 instead of 5).

The item I received was definitely the item I ordered, but I was surprised by the poor quality of the nail polish rack because it has 4 stars on Amazon. The plastic pieces were not cleanly cut along the edges (see below). The holes where the screws were supposed to insert were not cut through all the way. Most of them I was able to pop out, but one in particular was not going to budge, so I had to go at it with a drill, and luckily I did not break the plastic doing so. Also, the color of the screws I received did not match. Some were silver and some were brassy. With that said, now that it’s assembled it functions and looks nice.

The Nail Polish Rack full price is $45, though it’s currently listed at $27.99, and when I purchased it I nabbed it for only $18.80.

Rating this bad boy is a tough one for me. On one hand it is functional, it looks great and it’s affordable. On the other hand it’s poor quality and there’s a slight chance that the item you receive will be A) The incorrect item, B) Broken, C) Poorly cut or D) All of the above. I love it, but because of these factors I am very hesitant to recommend it. When it comes down to it, it does the job, so I have to give it a 3 out of 5 stars.
