Lilly Brush is a sweater pill remover with specially designed nylon bristles that are gentle on sweater weaves but tough on pills. It’s great for removing lint and pet hair, too! Where has this brush been all my life? It seems like such a simple idea, really. I use my lint roller all the time (thanks, Scrappy CoCo), but it doesn’t do much for pills. I always find myself picking at the pills on my cardigans, even though I know it’s not good for the fabric.
My test subject is a cashmere sweater from Tommy Hilfiger. I bought it just a few short months ago, and it is already pilling on the sides where my arms rub. From the looks of it, it would appear I dragged my sweater around in the lint catcher, but no.. I think I may just have the lintiest dryer of all time.
I swiped the Lilly Brush over it very gently, but nothing happened. Then I swiped more firmly, and I got better results. By the time I was done, I had to clean out the brush a few times! It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty great.
If you really want to give it a good clean, You can clean your brush with light soap. Rinse and tap briskly to remove excess water.
The brush comes with a cap so you can take it with you – in your purse, to work, traveling. I actually think it would be a great idea to keep one in my desk drawer at work. I can’t tell you how many times I have “lint rolled” myself at work with Scotch Tape. Seriously. The cap doesn’t fit very well, unfortunately. It’s a bit snug, and I’m afraid if I cap it all the way it will never come off!
Overall, I’m pleased with the brush. I think I will find myself using this over my lint roller.
You can find the Lilly Brush at LillyBrush.com for $12.95.
