When Julep introduced their Maven’s Choice box a few months ago, I was really excited! After revealing box contents, Mavens could vote on what their top product choices were, and based on the results a new box style, Maven’s Choice, would be created each month. I’m not sure what happened with that box, I just stopped hearing about it, but now they have introduced something that’s even better – Modern Beauty.

Modern Beauty is a product-lover’s dream. Each month they have one box that has three polishes while the others contain two polishes and one product. Modern Beauty will always have two products – heck yeah! This is perfect for product junkies or Mavens, like me, that have tons and tons of polish and don’t really need more.

• Julep Rock Star Hand Creme
  • Description: Anti-aging, emollient blend of shea butter, glycerin, coconut oil, and vitamin E keeps hands hydrated, even after washing. This non-greasy, fast-absorbing formula will leave you cheering for an encore. Rock on.
  • It has a very soft, gentle, floral scent.
  • No-mess twist cap (see below). Not sure if this is “no mess.” When you twist it closed after using, it pushes a little product out, so be careful!
  • No parabens, sulfate-free
• Julep Facial for Hands Glycolic Hand Scrub
  • Description: Unique double-exfoliating action of glycolic acid and apricot seeds reveals noticeably softer and younger-looking hands after just one use. Gentle, non-sudsing natural esters whisk away dirt and excess oil while combating flakiness. Naturally scented with orange oil for a refreshing aromatherapy boost with each use.
  • 10% Glycolic Acid (nice!)
  • Description on box says it’s gentle enough to use on your face, though I do warn you – if you have sensitive skin, you may experience some tingling
  • Scent is very fresh – the description says it’s scented with orange oil, but I was getting more of a cucumber-melon type scent.
  • No parabens, sulfate-free
