Introducing HED Professionals

I was recently given the opportunity to test some haircare products from HED Professionals (pronounced “HEAD PROFESSIONALS”). Working in the beauty industry, I’m exposed to a variety of brands on a daily basis, but HED…HAIR EDUCATION DEFINED was new to me. I learned that the company, an education company with a full professional collection of hair care, styling and keratin smoothing products, was founded by Alan Benfield Bush just three years ago.

The biggest difference between HED and its competitors is that HED positions itself on being an education company rather than a product company. They have some of the best advanced education for stylist in the industry, giving professional stylists amazing products and advanced education to further their careers. Their national educators — called HED Originals™ — believe that in every stylist, there is a true ‘designer original’ waiting to come shining through.

Something that really stood out to me is that their products are paraben-free, 100% vegan, and not tested on animals. AND they’re made with high quality ingredients to top it off! Out of the products I was able to test, these three rose to the top.

HED-INTERIOR Leave-In Conditioning Cream

I love the idea behind this product. People are so focused on the surface or on the exterior of their hair, we forget to focus on the interior. HED is right! Great style starts from the inside out. I’ve tried leave-in conditioners that I’ve been content with, but I’ve never found one I love until now. This product contains avocado and jojoba seed oils to moisturize and detangle, soy protein to add body and strength, and olive oil to soften. Learn more.

HED-IN Leave-In Conditioning Spray

Let me tell you, detanglers aren’t just for kids! I use this when my hair is damp and still needs a little help. This spray features Green Tea Leaf Extract for repairing and protecting, Pomegranate Seed Extract for nourishing, protecting and adding shine, and soy protein for strength, body and fullness. HED-OVERDIRECT Shine Serum

Out of these three products, this is my favorite and the one I will repurchase as soon as I run out. I have tried countless shine serums from a variety of brands – Garnier, Redken, Oscar Blandi, Ouidad – you name it! And nothing has worked for me. With my curly locks, my hair tends to be on the drier side of the spectrum. My problem with most of the shine products I’ve used is that it takes my hair straight from dry to greasy in less than 60 seconds. This product leaves a natural shine without weighing down my hair, and you just need the tiniest bit of product. Perfection. Learn more.

A couple of their products are for professionals only – If you’re interested in making a purchase or learning about their education programs, contact HED…HAIR EDUCATION DEFINED at  (855) 433-7767 or info@hedpros.com. Find a salon near you.

I received these products complimentary for the purpose of testing and reviewing. All opinions are my own.
