There are so many wonderful plugins out there, that it’s hard to know what’s good and what’s not. I try to keep plugins to a minimum, to keep load-times down, but these three are winners.
1) Easy Recipe
I think a recipe plugin is essential for food blogs. Back when I used blogger, I had zero options! Now, using Easy Recipe, my recipes are all uniform in look, and they are now printer-friendly. Below, you can see how beautiful my Ridiculously Easy Pizza Cups recipe looks.
2) FeedBurner FeedSmith Extend
First of all, if you’re not using FeedBurner, you should be. It’s an easy way to get statistics on your RSS readers: number of subscribers, how many people clicked on your item when it appeared in your feed.. It’s wonderful. This plugin always redirects your old feed (ie, yoursite.com/feed) to your new Feedburner feed.
3) WordPress Google Fonts Plugin
This plugin is an easy favorite because it allows you to change your headers from the traditional web fonts (arial, tahoma, georgia.. bleh) to new and fun Google fonts. I used to think Blogger had a leg up on WordPress because this was already a built in feature in the template editor, but this plugin works like a dream.
