Julep Maven April Box “Classic with a Twist”

It seems like I just got my “It Girl” introductory box from Julep Maven because.. well.. I did! I guess because I signed up late in the month the boxes just happen to arrive within a week of each other. Bonus!
I don’t love this box as much as I loved my introductory box. I am excited for the pedi creme and one of these polishes (read below for more detail), but I don’t think this box was worth $20 in my opinion. Considering my first box was only a penny, I can definitely justify it to myself, and I’m still going to stay signed on for next month. The actual retail value of this bag is somewhere around $66 (yikes!).

About Julep Maven

Julep Maven is a nail polish subscription service. Unlike other monthly services, you’re not paying for samples. You’re paying for either three full-size Julep polishes or two full-size Julep polishes and a Julep mani/pedi care product. The service is $20 a month. You’re matched with a beauty profile based on your answers to their style quiz, and each beauty profile gets a different set of products each month. Don’t like your profile? You can switch! The best part is that you get to preview your box before you decide to either switch profiles or opt-out for the month. For a limited time you can get your introductory box for only a penny using the code COLORS2012.
My April “Classic with a Twist” box came with:
  • Susie – “Delicious mint green creme.” This color is the reason I picked this box. Unfortunately, it didn’t live up to my expectations. It’s very streaky, and it’s not very green at all as you can see from the pictures. It looks like an off-white more than anything.
  • Mandy – “Fresh, bright, deep coral-pink creme.” I really love this color. I don’t have anything like it. I think this will be a new pedicure favorite.
  • The Best Pedi Creme Ever! – “Exfoliated with alpha hydroxy acids, hydrates with shea butter and coconut oil, nourishes with vitamin E. Apply nightly for noticeable results in just one to two uses.” I’m very excited to use this because I have very dry skin on my hands and feet, so if this is claiming to be the best pedi creme ever, there’s got to be something to back that claim!
  • My box also came with a black polish/makeup bag, pedicure toe-separaters, and chocolate (for Easter!).
