The Floridian Cuban Sandwiches

The Floridian Cuban Sandwiches

I think it’s safe to say that I’ve had my fair share of Cuban sandwiches, so you can believe me when I tell you that this is the best Cuban place in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Maybe it’s the bread? Maybe it’s the atmosphere? I really couldn’t say.

The first time I ate at The Floridian was two summers ago when my family stayed at Indian Rocks Beach for a week-long vacation. When I found out the was a trip in the works for this summer, I told my mom we had to go again.

The Floridian is inexpensive and you get a ton of food. A regular Cuban is enough for two. When you go in you can watch them put your sandwich together in an assembly line. They’re really quick! We called our order in, thinking it would take awhile during lunch hours, but they probably could have made our order twice by the time we made our way from Indian Rocks to Treasure Island.

If you’re in the area, stop by!

Next time you go to IRB you should check the Kooky Coconut (formerly the “Tacky Turtle”). I used to ride my bike there all the time when I was younger. Or, if you if you want your mind boggled, go to the Columbia Restaurant for lunch in Sand Key (just before the bridge to Clearwater) and get the Cuban/Salad special. So awesome!
