From the moment this palette was announced, I wanted it. Although I love colored eyeshadow, the majority of what I wear falls into the neutral category. I have two Urban Decay palettes, Ammo and Foreshadow, but I rarely use them. I knew the NAKED palette would have shades that I would use more frequently.
I tried to get my hands on it when it first came out, but there was so much hype that it was constantly sold out online and at Sephora. Months later, I finally got an email from Urban Decay that it was available on their website. This time, however, I didn’t have the money to spend. I held off for a few weeks, but eventually convinced myself to go ahead and buy it. Once again, sold out online and in-stores. Just my luck.
Insert Lauren of LaureNicole.com. We share a love for makeup, and I told her how much I was lusting after this palette. After helping her create her new website, Lauren surprised me with (you guessed it) the palette! I’ve had it for about three weeks now and it is the only eyeshadow I have used. It’s truly love. My top colors are Sin, Sidecar, Smog, Darkhorse and Toasted. The only color I haven’t used yet is Gunmetal, but it’s on my list.
I love Urban Decay shadows, but some can be way too glittery, leaving flecks all over my cheeks. This was my fear for Sidecar. Luckily, this was not the case for any of the shadows. They are all very smooth, wearable, long-lasting shades.
What do you think of the NAKED palette? All hype? Or does it really deliver?
