NYC 2011 PART ONE: Overview

We’re back! If you follow WTF on Facebook or Twitter, you certainly saw plenty of mobile uploads and status updates, and that’s not even half of it. Lauren, Sosie and I ate so much and we have so much to share, it will take several blog posts over the next few weeks to cover it all without overloading you with information. This post is a sneak peak.

Here are all the places we ate that I will post about. As I post the blogs I will edit this page with links to those posts.

  • Katz’s Deli
  • S’Mac
  • Crumbs
  • Golden Unicorn
  • Cafe Viva
  • Shake Shack
  • Doughnut Plan
  • John’s Pizzeria of Bleecker St.
  • Magnolia Bakery
  • Serendipity 3
  • Telio Greek & Italian Cuisine
  • brgr

You may ask how we accomplished this in only 4 days, but I assure you for the professional eaters that we are, it was no great feat. Okay, so maybe it was a little too much food, but how often do I get to visit the Big Apple?

Sosie, Lauren and me at the Martha Stewart Show — blog to come!

We can’t wait to share more details about the show!

Lauren in front of the Jewish Museum, where we got free cell phone “sleeping bags.”
Overcast in Central Park. Luckily it only rained one day we were there.

We know this is a chain, but how could we resist?
The Royal Park Hotel NYC, review coming soon!

    Hi, grrlz!

We caught your “act” on Nerd Lunch, and signed up immediately. Things have been hectic around here, and we’ve been more likely to have TV dinners than gourmet food, but we DO intend to try some of your recipes, probably starting with your Nerd Lunch special.

I just wanted to throw a gentle hint your way: Eat well, have fun (looks like you’re good at both of those things!), but keep a close eye on your metabolism. I used to eat like a horse and be skinny as a rail, and one day I woke up bustin’ close to 300! The first hint is usually when someone accuses the washing of shrinking their pants!

    Keep up the good work!
